Accessibility statement

ZED BT is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with Article 47 of Law No. 2005-102 of 11 February 2005.

This accessibility statement applies to bonton.live (https://www.bonton.live).

Compliance status

bonton.live, https://www.bonton.live, is partially compliant with the General Accessibility Improvement Framework (RGAA), version 4.1, due to the non-compliance issues and exemptions listed below.

Test results

The compliance audit carried out by E-LIXIR found that:

  • 80.9% of the criteria in RGAA version 4.1 are met.
  • The site’s average compliance rate is 89%.
  • 2 criteria could not be assessed during this audit and are not included in this rate; they will be checked separately.

Inaccessible content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance issues

  • Photographs on product pages have no text alternative (the alternative is empty or consists only of the word “packshot”). Each product page includes the product name, description and composition as text.
  • Strikethrough prices and unavailable sizes are displayed in light grey on a white background with insufficient contrast (3.03:1 instead of 4.5:1). The current price and the message “Variant sold out or unavailable” are conveyed to screen readers.
  • Each main menu item is an expandable button that itself contains a link, and the quick-add button on product cards is placed inside the product link. This disrupts screen reader output and keyboard navigation. Submenus open with the Enter key and close with Escape; items can still be added to the basket from the product page.
  • Focus is not visible on some elements: “Discover” links, image and name links on product cards, colour swatches, contact and sign-in form fields, basket links and buttons, and the stop button on the announcement headband.
  • Hidden carousel items (related products and the product-page gallery, search results, and the basket’s gift-message option) remain reachable by keyboard even though they are marked as hidden from assistive technologies.
  • Some pages have structural issues: two main headings and a skipped heading level on the home page, a skipped heading level in the collections FAQ, and unmarked subheadings in the legal notice; product and filter lists containing unrelated elements; and duplicate IDs in the country selector, quick-add buttons and basket drawer.
  • Some English text (“The Bonton Club”, “Back to Cool”, “Shoes”, “Happy Price” and the “Close dialog” button in the newsletter sign-up window) is not identified as English for screen readers.
  • On the contact form, the asterisk marking a required field is not explained. Screen readers do announce the field as required.
  • The basket summary table has no column headings, preventing screen readers from associating each cell (product, quantity, total) with its column. The basket drawer, available from every page, presents the same information with clearly labelled buttons.

No content has been identified as exempt from accessibility requirements.

The newsletter sign-up window that appears when visitors arrive on the site has been checked: it receives focus, closes with the Escape key, and its field is labelled.
